Maybe wear the shirt around your Father a few times just to show him some "grace" - It will mean a LOT to him - Trust me!.

He obviuosly did not know who your favorite bands are - but he was making an attempt to connect to You - Maybe HE was a Cheap Trick fan !?!?

Anyway - I would swallow my Pride and wear it, at least a few times in front of him -- Then turn it into a "work shirt" so it won't last too long LOL!.

Marley will always be my favorite!. It took me a while to appreciate Reggae and it's many different styles that people rarely get to here!.

Marley was just so Powerful and he was one of the Forerunners to get Released in America, along with Tosh & Cliff!.

What I like most about Marley is that it's not just Songs about
Weed - but he Preached World Love, like MLK - and I really got into his Style

Hell yeah wear it, or send it to me! I'd give Cheap Trick a few chances though!. I always thought they were kind of cheesey when I was all about punk rock, then after I opened up a little to all kinds of sounds I found Cheap Trick to be pretty awesome!. Cool guitar riffs, catchy melodies, a sense of humor, not the most original, not the best, not the most inventive, but still pretty damn entertaining and hits the spot for the right times!. I mean, you at least like the song "I Want You To Want Me" right!? Because that's THE power pop song!. That or "Surrender"!.

I do enjoy reggae but I'm also a complete novice in the genre!. So I'm going to play it safe and say Bob Marley because as cliché as that is he really could write a song and some lyrics, and the music is always pleasing to the ears!. My favorite song is probably something equally cliché like "Three Little Birds", although my favorite lyrics might be to "Real Situation", I always find the Sex Pistols-esque nihilism so striking against that layed back reggae tune, great song!.

Here's what I'd do:
Try to find at least one Cheap Trick song you like, then wear the shirt!. Or, if you're a bolder person than I am, wear the shirt anyway and when people ask about you not liking Cheap Trick say, "I just like the shirt"!.

well, usually people wear band t shirts because they want to show that they are fans!. you probably know this by now, though!. it would be really embarrassing for you to be wearing the shirt and have someone come up and ask if you're a fan, and you saying no!.!. i would probably just wear it a few times every so often, so it doesn't become more of a regular thing that makes it seem as if you're a fan!.!. i wouldn't make a big deal about it, though!.
