Question: Is trance/house the future of music!? Is Hip Hop Dead!? What about Rock!?
Im a big fan of Trance/House!. I used to listen predominantly to Hip Hop!. I'm sick of listening to the same garbage on the radio (e!.g!. Soulja Boi)!. I wish hip hop was still professional and decent like in the Dr!. Dre Era, but now a days skill is determined by a great beat (Contacts) instead of great singing/lyrics, Popularity (luck), and adding lame dances to songs (Its Going Down, Shoulder Leen, Soulja Boi etc etc)!. Trance and House on the other hand is straightforward skill that cant be manipulated to sucess!. It is the only genres in which the artist is the producer (not the singer)!. In my opinion, this this raises the professional aspect of the genre and therefore the music quality!. Rap can be good if it wasnt controlled by one-hit popularity!. Rap is always the same as well ( @^&* im a gangsta &^&^ money *&*& hoes), Even beats don't have that much originality nowadays (as opposed to Dr Dre's beats like in Still D!.R!.E!.) Rock has the same exact instruments in every song, guitar, drums, bass guitar, vocals!. It all sounds the same!. There isn't much oppurtunity for originality in the Rock genre since all the instruments are the same, so the sound is the same! This is why groups like Linkin Park are so popular!. They advance past rock standards and into the modern world of technology to change their sound and originality!. Please leave your opinions about my opinions!. Sorry if I shot down anyones feelings about music!. Keep in mind I have been through a stage of listening to Rock and Rap!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

siwed's right!. Demeaning EDM is just showing how ignorant you all are!. Most people know very little about trance/techno/house!. All they hear is mainstream junk like Tiesto or Cascada or DJ Sammy!. I think some of the rock listeners here are just insecure!. They're afraid their music is going down the drain, and it clearly isn't!. I agree with siwed in that trance/house might not be the future, but as another poster mentioned, it's all of those genres will be around in the future, so cease all of your criticism of each others' music and try to understand; if you cannot, you really don't have any right to be commenting on other peoples' music!. I can't believe the guy yelling all over the place got so many thumbs up!. There isn't even a straw of good argument in that individual's post!. Unbelievable!. You guys have no idea what you're talking about!. You think it's easier to make EDM!? You'd all be idiots to assume that!. You all have no idea what it takes to make good EDM!. In fact, you probably haven't even heard real EDM before!. Most people never get their mixing straight, and that's pretty much the most important part of making EDM!. The sounds are novel, and there are no mixing protocols for these sounds that have never existed in the past!. We spend 99% of our time thinking up of creative ways to mix/EQ our tracks, and that's in part what we appreciate!. We hear things in EDM that apparently you haven't thought of listening for!. Either that or you've tried and failed miserably because you lack the intelligence to hear it!. Not only that, there are plenty of trance/house tracks that incorporate rock, classical, and hip-hop elements!. In some tracks, you can't even tell if it's a rock or a trance song!. Because you're completely illiterate in EDM, you have no right to comment on it authoritatively!. I listen to rock, classical, jazz, and EDM, and I can tell you for sure, that there is unquestionably no "most diverse" genre!. Open your eyes!. Maybe trance/house isn't the future of music, but they are the two most popular types of club music worldwide!. Each have hundreds of sub-subgenres, and I'd understand if you couldn't tell the differences!. You have to evaluate EDM a different way; look at it under a different filter to appreciate it!. Making EDM is far from easy!. Most people think they can do it, so they send me their poorly mixed, poorly thought-out rubbish!. I've written music for and played in a metal/rock band; I've made my own "neo-classical" stuff; I have yet to write jazz, but it is my experience that it is no easier to make EDM than it is to make any other genre!. We're not just pressing buttons on a drum machine here!. So before you go around demeaning EDM, I suggest you get and education and learn about it from a professional, not some idiot who only has a superficial understanding!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I'll put this bluntly!. You are an idiot, that should never be allowed to rant again!. If you think that manipulating sounds using a computer takes more skill than playing instruments then you can never learn!. also, if you think Linkin Park is doing anything for rock music, then you are beyond help!.
