Question: What is happening to music these days!?
Seems like all the good music is dying, thanks to "bands" like the Jonas Sisters and all this emo and mainstream crap they always play!.
It's odd, every other 13 year old I know listens to this crap, and also pop and rap!. I feel like myself and a couple of my friends are the only ones our age who listen to real music!.

you need to do what i do and not listen to the radio!. its gone total crap since the mid 90s onwards!. there are many great bands that you wont hear on day to day radio station!. you just have to look hard for some gems and let the rest of the world carry on listening to their factory made pop rap and emo crapWww@Enter-QA@Com
First off, only little girls are the ones obsessed with the Jonas Brothers!. Just wonder what the boys are interested in!.
Second, if you check the rock charts, you will notice that these 2 songs hold the #1 position on both the modern and mainstream rock charts!.!.!.neither are emo rock:

The only thing we can do is look to the past and keep faithful to the good music that came out of the 60's and 70's!. We need talented people to recreate that magic for today's age, however they gotta make it their own and not seem like we're dwelling in the past!. Hopefully during the next ten years, rap and pop music will not dominate the industry and pollute the people who really, truly care about music!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
to me, it's just a trend just like any other kind of music, but this one i fear will last longer than most others!.!.!.let's face it, kids drive the music scene because for the most part they're the ones out there buying, and whatever kids want to hear is what will become popular!.!.!.unfortunately, i think the trend of disney-pop, rap, and screamo type music is going to stay around because music is more readily accessible nowadays and popular music doesn't just come and go like it used to, plus there's not as much available variety

i know what you mean!. i only know one person who likes things that are bearable!. it's incredibly hard to go through a day without being able to talk to people about the music you like!.

i think it will just get worse or stay the same becaue the magic from the old musicians from the 60's, 70's, and 80's just isn't there anymore!. It's sad that the artists from those times can't make it onto the billboard 200 or anything!. they still make music but it's like they've dissappeared!. Ok I happen to be a fan of emo music!. death cab is one of my favorite bands but other than tht I agree with u completely!. Too many bands are selling out!. U need to just not listen to the radio anymore!. tht helped me a lot!. I hate the radio!. I prefer to choose wat i listen to depending on the mood i'm in!. i listen to underground metal music,and i don't really know bout the mainstream music thats goin on these days though i must agree that new skool music is rather crap now!.!.but to me i think the underground bands have definitely stepped up a notch in metal music!.!.!.the heck with the radio friendly music!.!.!. Popular music has always catered to the lowest common denominator!. Always has, always will!. It's not like this is anything new!. From David Cassidy to New Kids on the Block to the boy bands of the 90s!.!.!.it goes on and on and on!.

There is not much more they can do with today's music!. It has peaked!. Older style music always comes back!. I have a bunch of 20-25 year olds working for me and all they listen to is 60' sthough
