Answers:
Bass Player magazine described Chancellor's bass playing as a "thick mid range tone, guitar-style techniques, and elastic versatility"!. As an example of this, the magazine mentioned the use of a wah effect by hammering "the notes with the left hand and using the bass's tone controls to get a tone sweep", such as on the song "The Patient" (Lateralus 2001)!.

He uses a pick, boosts the mids, uses tons of effects and the biggest factor is that he uses Wal basses!. They have a completely unique tone!. If your trying to get his sound, good luck haha its not gona be cheap or easy!.

ps-an interesting fact is that Justin is Tool's second bassist, the first bassist was Paul D' Amore (played on Undertow) and he acctualy created that tone!. Justin emulated it to keep Tool's sound consitantWww@Enter-QA@Com

No one can ever song like Tool!.!.!.!.not worth trying!. Would end up costing alot of money!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
