try jane siberry and beth orton!. give a listen to goldfrapp (their last cd -- seventh tree should be stuff you like -- also the black cherry cd) and sigur ros!. my favorite cd in pre-emo guitar pop is without a doubt rem's automatic for the people!. give annie lennox a re-listen!. for pop music the lyrics and melodies are brilliant!.
