What exactly is the difference between Metalcore, Deathcore and Death Metal?!

Question: What exactly is the difference between Metalcore, Deathcore and Death Metal!?
Answers:
Death Metal owns both of them!.!.!.!.that's the difference :)

Typically, DEATHCORE is a simplified version of true death metal!. Its and amaglamation of metalcore and traditional death metal !. Several "Deathcore" bands have a vocalist that does the whole pig squealing thing or high pitched screams reminiscent of metalcore vocals!. Traditional death metal growls may also be apart of the deathcore vocal department, but not as often!.

Some Deathcore bands (Not neccessarily ones I condone) are Suicide Silence, Job For A Cowboy, Carnifex, Despise Icon, and Born of Osiris for example!.

METALCORE is a genre in which hardcore punk and heavy metal are fused together!. Again, typically, it is a genre that is a bit more simplistic than the BIG 3, Traditional Heavy/Thrash Metal, Death Metal, and Black Metal!. Traditionally, vocals range from high pitched screams and yells to a more mid-ranged throaty growl!.

Good examples of bands that are apart of this genre are Throwdown (early material), As I Lay Dying, Underoath, Darkest Hour, and Bullet for My Valentine!.

Death Metal is in my opinion, the best of the 3 and probably most technical instrument wise too if you ask me!. There isn't much fusion going on, just a heavier, faster, and more aggressive form of heavy metal!. Typically, low growls or "death grunts" best describe the vocals implemented in this genre, but high pitched screams aren't totally banned either!.

Yes, there are tons of subgenres of death metal like Melodic Death Metal, Doom/Death Metal, Progressive Death Metal, Industrial Death Metal, Brutal Death Metal etc!. so on and so forth!.

Some bands that epitomize the traditional death metal sound would be Death, Malevolent Creation, Suffocation, Nile, Origin, Meshuggah, Cryptopsy, Blood Red Throne, and Anata!.

After listening to a couple bands from ones I listed for each genre, you should be able to differentiate between the three!.

Hope this helped!Www@Enter-QA@Com

Deathcore is a combination of the genres metalcore and death metal!.

Metalcore incorporates a heavy or harcore punk style with heavy metal!.!.!. reminds me of what many people call "hardcore" but heavier!.

Death metal is inflluenced by thrash metal, with lots of growling vocals and morbid lyrics!. There are usually a lot of tempo changes in a typical death metal song!. Death metal is oftentimes [atleast in my experience] confused with some Black Metal, but it is less melodic than Black metal!.

All That Remains is a pretty good metalcore band!. I like them!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Metalcore is someform of metal crossed with Hardcore(i!.e!. Killswitch Engage, Shadows Fall), Deathcore I would assume is Death metal mixed with hardcore(i guess Job For a Cowboy!?)Death Metal is a form that originated out of thrash and early black metal, there are countless styles of it(Technical, Brutal, Melodic, Progressive, Grindcore, Gore, Goregrind, etc)

I don't care for Metalcore or Deathcore!.
The best way to differentiate would be to listen to a Metalcore or Deathcore band then listen to something like old Death(Scream Bloody Gore or Leprosy) or Cannibal CorpseWww@Enter-QA@Com

All That Remains is possibly the most technically skilled band out right now!.!.!.right up there with Opeth!.

They are ridiculously sick and talented!.!.!.!.

If I was a girl, I'd wanna have their babies!.!.!.!.j/kWww@Enter-QA@Com
