Secular rap as a whole has a negative impact on society, particularly on our youth, through its explicit content!. It sends a powerful message of hate and violence that is devouring the minds of our youth playing a part various problems such as rape, racism, teen pregnancy, suicide, homicide and even gang violence!.

The writer isn't talking about regular rap!.!.!.!.!.he's talking about SECULAR wrap which is related to the church!. If you know anything about secular rap it has taken a big turn!.!.!.!.it started out very different and now a lot of it you can barely even tell that it is secular!. I understand where he is coming from because he is saying that if you are going to preach the word of God through rap at least rap positivity and rap about good things that can produce positive change and rap about God!. That is what secular rap is supposed to be about anyways!.!.!.spreading the word of the Lord!.

well back n the day the violent lyrics were the rappers from poor areas speaking out about problems where they come from, expressing there anger about the society THEY live in, but kids have to realize a lot of the sex/violent stories told are written for fun to make you laugh, sometimes you mgiht laugh, sometimes you might not and the writers dont expect the kids to copy what they say in their songsWww@Enter-QA@Com

Yes, rap does have negative elements in it, but it is the responsibility of an individuals parents to raise the youth to know what is right and what is wrong!. If a kid goes and robs a store or murders someone it is not 50 cent's fault because he rapped about killing people and robbing, it is the parents fault for not teaching the child that murder and stealing are wrong!. There is no reason for you to blame an art form for the faults of the parents!. also, rap music is the product of society!. Because blacks in NY were shafted by the government and forced to live in poverty, some created music to express how they had to live!. Again, we live in a society where it is ok to disrespect women, and encouraged to treat them as sex objects rather than people!. So because society has made it profitable to sell misogynistic lyrics, you decide to blame the people making money of it!. You should be pointing the finger at society first rather than a product of that society!. Violence is everywhere on TV, and in movies, so why are you blaming rap music for something a kid could see on the evening news!?
