umm, not really!.!.!.!.most rappers have their own unique style!.!.!.so to try and give each one that does something different a genera would be way too much effort!. some rappers are more like others and some are not!.!.!.you just have to listen and find out!. plus, rappers can vary so much from one album to the next so it really makes no sense to categories them!.
there are some very vague divisions, like some separate hip-hop(stuff a non rap fan would know like g-unit,eminem) from rap(more underground,/local), and then theres freestyles which are like jamming but recorded(some rappers can do it, some can't)!. then theres more mainstream music(50cent, kanye west etc they're the ones that will get you a thumbs down if you mention in an answer in the rap/hip hp section! =P)
but i find the people who categorize rap!.!.!.or any genera are the 'scene' version of whatever genera you're talking about!.
they are arrogant about music!. and think because they're older, have more cd's a bigger I-pod, or they look a certain way(have punk hair(punk) wear make up(emo) or even because they're a certain color(rap) ) they know more about music, or their taste is better than yours!. and so in any genera, i go by what i like, and not by what genera people talk about!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

yes i think it is!.!.

Hip hop would be the core then their are Genres and sub genres
