Nah, I was a bit excited at first but it turned out to be nothing special!. Well, I'm known to have a 'horrible' taste in music at my school!. The guys usually only listen to rap because it's all what it takes to be 'cool'!. I know a couple of girls who have decent taste in music but other than that, they all just want to be 'cool'!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I'm in High School and its fine!. Unless you want to be a popular preppy poof!. I have plenty of friends, and they don't care about what music I like!. I mostly hang out with the "smart" kids, and some of them listen to classical, some listen to rock, and some even listen to pop music!. Its not like the only reason you can be friends with someone is because they like the same music as you!.

Aw hey!. Well it depends on the school really!. Most bigger schools have a wide variety of students!. My school is kind of small, it's 6th-12th grade and about 425 students!. And pretty much everyone here listens to country, rap, or whatever is on the charts!. Not very many people like what I like!.
I don't think you'll be an outcast JUST for liking different music though!. :P My friends tell me my music is "weird", but that's about it haha!.

I live in the UK and I'm 14 so I'm guessing I would be in High School by now if I lived in the USA!.

Congratulations!!! I'm in high school right now!. I'm going to be a junior next year!. From my point of view, high school is a million times better if you don't fit in with all of the preps or gangsters!. I'm not really an outcast because I have a lot of friends who have the same kind of music taste as me!. I felt more of an outcast in middle school because there was know one in my school who liked the same kind of music as me!. But since my high school is regional (different towns all in one) There are people from different towns who like the same kind of music as me and there my best friends!.

I'm friends with every one, and I'm considered "super smart" too!. All of these thing that you see in TV like clicks and stuff aren't true, for the most part!. My school is filled with rock listeners as well as Hip Hop, Rap, Pop, well everything but we all just blend!. A good hand full of my closest friends listen to rock though!.

I went to grade school and "junior high" in a tiny town!. I am male and I got my ear pierced when I was 11!. I was labeled a homosexual and/or a devil worshipper for my piercing and the fact that I listened to metal!. I wasnt allowed in some people's homes as a result!.

No not really!. Most if not all of my friends listen to various sub genres of rock even though 90% of the school population is composed of "gangsters"!.

With so much music out there you're bound to find someone who likes the same things!. I did!. But friends shouldn't judge you solely on your musical interests!.

it's not that bad!.!.!.music is not the first thing people will look at in a person in high school although when you get questions about music you will get some funny looks most likely
