Question: How is it supposed to sound after you hold down a guitar string on a fret and you strum the string!?

It's not supposed to make a quick, dead sounding noise!. (I don't know how to phrase it either :P) It is, however, supposed to make a clear, sustaining sound!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Well, its hard to explain the sounds!. But there are a number of sounds you can get;
1) If you don't hold down a fret at all, you'll get an open string!.
2) If you hold it down a bit you might get a dead note, which sounds terrible, you wont hear a tone!.
3) If you hold it down on the fret lightly, then you might get a guitar hermonic!. Its a very soft sound!. Sounds kind of like a bell!.
4) If you hold it down all the way, then you'll get the actual sound of the fret!. Which basically, you should get a tone!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

It depends on the fret!.!.!.what tuning you're in!.!.!.all that!.!.!.but go to http://www!.all-guitar-chords!.com/tuner!.p!.!.!. !. If you learn to tune the guitar also, you'll be that much close to being a professional!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
