Okay..there is a singing idol where I live coming up soon and I want to be in it!
Question: Okay!.!.there is a singing idol where I live coming up soon and I want to be in it!.!.but stagefright!?
Where I live there is a singing idol!.!.I know the songs and everything but when I get in front of people and might mess up!.!.I am 12 and over 100 people are going to be there and I am thinking about not doing it but I LOVE singing more than anything and want to be famous at it but stagefright is my only problem!.!.People have heard me sing and they have said I have sung good! So any tips or something!? Should I do it!?

SING AL THE TIME!!! sing in front of your friends, on the bus, at lunch time, in the playground, sing to your nanna or pop, put on shows for your family, sing in the shower!. Laugh at yourself when you mess up and just keep going!.
I sing with my dad sometimes when he does gigs and i was about your age when i started!. i used to get so nervouse that i couldnt even sing properly coz my voice would shake!. the only way to get through nerves is to put yourself in the spot light as often as possible!. you will notice it getting easier every time!.
please enter this competition!. Do not let your nerves or fears hold you back!. If it is something that you love to do then DO IT! i beleive in you and i think you will be great as long as you are happy what you are doing!.

I LOVED singing when I was your age!.!.!.sang at church and in school choirs, but, I suffered so with stage fright and would not sing solos!. I decided to study voice and had a wonderful voice coach who sang at the Metropolitan Opera for years!. About stage fright!.!.she told me to focus on the back of the auditorium on one particular item (like a clock or some decoration, etc) while singing and not look directly at the audience!. I was such a confident singer, then it got hard!. and now its easy again!. What help me was my year 8 form, they backed my singing voice and always got me to sing in classes when they got bored! I recently did an AMEB singing exam and I was so scared but I did it and got an 'A' I would have regreted it if I hadn't! Don't live in fear! you should do it!Www@Enter-QA@Com
Dude i used to have that problem but you can't let 100 people out of 60000000 people scare you!. My choir teacher told me that i now i have two musicals and I'm the lead for both(and to tell you it feels really good)!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

They also are great at destroying some peoples lives !!
I know personally of a girl whom won every comp!. in sight
was a great performer and confident and could switch from
Contemporary music - to Pop Rock , that is usualy a sign
of an Extroadanary Singer, not to mention she could really
sing!.
They totally didn't give her a chance to even open her mouth!.
These kids go in front of others (whose expertise i have to
wonder about ) < BEFORE > they perform in front of the ones
that have to pick them out on TV !.!.!.that you see !
You will always ask yourself when older, why didn't i give it
a go, so for that reason!.!.!.!.!.go for it!.!.!.But take all the stars
out of your eyes!.!.!.because these shows are experts at
crashing them !.!.!.!.I honestly think , they must go in with some
kind of agenda apart from the be "able to sing one"!.
As other performers i have also noted in town with bands
still singing like 5 years later and doing well !.!.!.!.that went to
this comp!. and did not even make it to the TV stage of the
picking process!. This was another example i wanted to
tell you about!.
I think they like pick one singer!.!.!.!.!.for every 6 idiots to make
their show a little entertaining and who cares for all the real
talent , that never gets shown or the trouble they went to , to
prepare for this!.
When there is so much talent , real talent around i find it
superficial for a show that pretends to be so professional!.
Sorry , i realise this is too much information probably for
