Yes Merle Haggard brought out the album Let Me Tell You About A Song in the early 70s, I loved every song on it and played it all the time, being vinyl it got a bit messed up and scratched, absolutely unplayable but I kept it, in fact I still have it,so I was so pleased in 2002 when it was released again on CD, I still like as much now as I did in the 70s and never get tired of listening to itWww@Enter-QA@Com

Yeah!.

Gail Davies' self titled album!.

It's special because I had looked for it for 20 years before I was finally able to get it!. I had all of her others, but that first one was very elusive!. I was not disappointed!. :-) It's also special because her soung Someone Is Looking for Someone Like You is on it, and that was my favorite song for many years!. I sang it for my senior solo recital in highschool and used it as my senior quote in the yearbook!. It was good to finally have that original recording instead of a scratchy cassette with a DJ talking over the end!

I remember one night waking up at 3am when I was in 7th or 8th grade and turning on the radio JUST IN TIME to hear the opening notes to that song!. It's a wonder I didn't wake the whole house, I was so excited because she was my favorite, but no one was playing her, so it was really rare for me to get to hear her!.

Thanks for this question!.!.!. it made me smile! :-)Www@Enter-QA@Com

"Gunfighter Ballads", by Marty Robbins

My parents had the old vinyl while I was a kid and I knew every word to every song on there!. They moved to town from the house I grew up in and somehow managed to lose a few boxes of records and tapes and that album was in one of the lost boxes!. A few years ago, I was in a Best Buy in Arizona, and what do I see, but a remastered cd of that very album, along with some other remasters!. I spent about $600 on recorded music that day and rekindled my love of the old country standards!. If my folks hadn't lost that old LP, I wouldn't have had any reason to look for it and rediscover all I had been missing for 20 years!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I have 2:
"Strait from the Heart" by George Strait - the first country album I ever bought
"Everywhere" by Tim McGraw - it was the very first country album I bought as a full-fledged country music fan (the first one I eagerly anticipated and then rushed out to purchase on the day of release)!. To this day it's one of my Top Ten albums ever!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Any Greatest hits album by Alabama!. As a kid, that was about the only country i heard!. It was my first (and only taste til i was 11)!. When i was young my parents took me and my older brothers on alot of "family vacations"!. Alabama was the only country they would play the whole trip!. So it makes me think of them summer road trips to DollyWood & Mertle Beach!. Childhood was so nice!Www@Enter-QA@Com
