Question: Need certain type of songs!?
I'm making a series for Newgrounds!.
TITLE: Avenged
I need certain songs to start this first episode off!.!.!.
For the beggining, I need a song which stays calm but instrumental and then rises to an epic level (still instrumental)!.
Can anyone give me an example!?

You want something that is calm but instrumental then rises to an epic level still instrumental!. Personally, I like the blend of instrumental and soft techno beats like the artist Bond does!. You might try a few songs by them such as Big Love Adagio which starts off slow, gets more intense in the middle towards the end then slows down again at the end!.
An instrumental version of a Whiter Shade of Pale could be interesting!. Some times finding creative, instrumental versions of songs during a movie or show can invoke a certain feeling associated with that song, because people are already familiar with it, without distracting from the scene itself!.
Post-Apocalyptic is a song by Groovelilly that is instrumental which also has that slow start, intense beginning, then a slow at the end- short song less than 3 minutes!.
You could always try Manheim Steamroller (sp!?) or Transyberian Orchestra!. Hitting the New Age genre would be helpful too like from Delerium, Mono, and E!.S!.Posthumus!.
If you want the same instrumental intensity but don't mind lyrics (usually in Spanish, Italian or other languages), I would consider Sarah Brightman, especially her La Luna CD!.

I can't pinpoint one certain song, but I would try James Horner first, or maybe the London Symphony Orchestra!.!.!.hands down my two favorite instrumental musicians!. Danny Elfman, Sigur Ros, and Hector Berlioz are some other favorites!.
