Question: Is screamo a sub-genre of rock!?
As in, is screamo just a form of rock music or is it a genre by itself!? Because on iTunes it labels the bands that are screamo as rock or even alternative!. Haha!. Thanks!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Well, it all depends!. I mean, you could just say that rock is a sub-genre of Pop!. However, rock is popular enough in itself that people just refer to it as a genre of its own!. The same would go for screamo, for people who are enough into it (or music in general) it might as well be a genre in itself!. There are at least hundreds of bands making screamo music and it has features than can define it unto itself so in my opinion it's a genre of its own!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
To other posters: Although I can't stand emo or screamo or whatever, saying that it isn't music and that the people that do enjoy it are gay and whatnot is wrong!. That's like discriminating against a person who doesn't like mustard!. Get a life and do something more productive than judging someone based on music tastes!.
