Guitar players with short fingers and barre chords?!

Question: Guitar players with short fingers and barre chords!?
I have short fingers and have a hard time with barre chords!. I know about rolling my finger a little to use the side rather than the pad of my finger, and pressing my thumb hard against the back of the neck!. Are there any excercises that can help me improve in this area!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Try rolling a coin between your fingers!. Use just your thumb to asist in flipping the coin down the top of your fingers, then back along the bottoms!.start with a silver dollar and work down to quarter!. Practice and the muscle memory process involved with forming the chords can't be replaced!.!.!. after all, those positions are what we are striving to learn!.!.!.!. practice, practice, practice!.!. nothing replaces it!.!.!. I have relatively small hands myself, but have managed to make it through 45 years of playing,!.!.!. you'll make it as well!.!.!.It's 90% desire and 10% physical ability!.!.!. good luck!.!.!. now get back to practicing!.!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I have short, stubby little fingers, and I play guitar too!

Have you tried moving your thumb down (vertically) the neck more!? A lot of people play with it near the top of the guitar, towards the top of the top string, but if you move it downwards (as in towards the ground), you can afford a LOT more flexibility!. :)Www@Enter-QA@Com
