Because he was so fuking REAL!.!.he wasn't afraid to express his angst or emotions, whether it was through a song lyric, or beating the ever loving snot out of his guitar!.!.
He felt so much, the pain of an entire generation (my generation), and he took it upon himself to express it to the world!.

I love him because he loved music, but he hated the attention he got from it!. Which show'd that he wasn't full of himself!. Too often when people get famous they think theyre all that!. He hated the fame and new that he was just a normal guy!.
He wasn't all that unique actually!. He was just like everyone else at the time!. But that made him amazing!.

He wasn't that unique!. Just another depressed druggie who happened to have some talent to write songs!. If he hadn't killed himself, no one would probably think twice of him now!. But since he died early he's a 'legend'!.

Because he was in an awesome band, he lanched the career of Dave Grohl (Nivanas Drummer) and now frontman for the Foo Fighters possibly the greatest band ever formed!.
