like you look at music,most of the popular music today especially is lacking in talent passion and effort,substance or even artistic value for that matter the masses just don't seem to appreciate things that require actual skills to do and artist who put their soul into what ever it is they're doing prime example look at hip hop!.!.!.!.a mediocre rapper like lil wayne is going double platinum,while some with passion and talent like nas cant sell or someone like saigon can't get an album out on atlantic records but clown rappers like plies are putting out albums left and rightWww@Enter-QA@Com

This is the United States!.!.!.we're really stupid people who only want something that is catchy and marketed to the masses, rather than having our own individual rights!. We want to conform to everybody else, and we feel that when someone stands out in the crowd, it is not cool, and by the time we realize how cool it actually was to be a non-conformist, it's too late, that standout is gone and probably dead!.
Thus, the same with music!. Corporate greed causes producers and artists to promote things that exploit that whims!. We want something that mentions sex, drugs, or being "gangsta", because we think that's how we're going to be part of the "cool" crowd, going into the "cool" club, to be with "cool" people!. also, we've become so dumbed down thanks to laziness, technology, and the fact that we just want a big sensation that will last for awhile!.
That's why we have ******* Soulja Boy with Crank That, a song that mentions a sexual act of ejaculating on some woman's back!. Why do we listen to it!? Because there's a dance that everyone likes to do, and they think they're cool by doing it!. Why do we listen to Low!? Because it promoted a piece of **** movie that wannabe urban street dwellers watched!. Why do we listen to Bleeding Love and Take a Bow!? Because Leona Lewis and Rihanna happen to be very hot, and even I would love to have sex with them, but that's a different story!. Why Katy Perry!? The better question is "Why NOT Katy Perry!?" Why not listen to a song that has a controversial action of same sex intimacy!?

Because true talent is something deep!. Lil wayne raps about cash, women, drugs!.!.!.etc!. it doesnt take a highschool graduate to figure out what lil wayne is talking about!. But Nas and Saigon!.!.as well as rappers like immortal technique, rap about deeper concepts than just women and money!. Because Teenagers and preteens have gained buying power on a large scale, and the people who put music out (not musicians but the business people) think that they have to cater to that crowd, especially MTV!. I blame them for all of the crappy music no matter what genre!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
