dude its never too late for voice lessons!. most teachers wont even accept students until the age of 14, because their voice hasnt matured enough!. trust me, 15 is a great age to start; your voice is probably at the later stages of maturity and you can still break any bad habits you have!.
hope i could help!Www@Enter-QA@Com

That seems to be a dead link!. Anyway, I'm in college for jazz vocals (I switched from classical last year), and I didn't have any training!. I took vocals class and joined the choir in high school, but the people in said class and choir kind of dragged it down a lot!. also, I don't feel like I improved too much in the vocals class!. I had a good teacher, but the rest of the n00bs in the class slowed everything down!. Anyway, make sure you can sing and dance well simultaneously!. Try to improve on reading sheet music (even if you're quite good at this already)!. I think you should be okay!. Two years or so of voice lessons can do wonders if you practice frequently outside of your lesson and try your best!. Good luck!. Oh, and try to get a working link posted!. I'd like to hear your untrained voice and maybe give you some pointers!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

It is NOT too late for you! My mom didn't start taking voice lessons until she was around 16, but when she auditioned for colleges a couple of years later, she made it into the music program for opera!.

However, she did work hard to get there!. You should join a choir (a show choir would probably be the best in terms of a musical theatre major, but if your school doesn't have a show choir, or if their show choir isn't that good, a regular choir is fine too)!. Make sure you practice for 20 minutes to a half hour each day, and I'd recommend recording the warm ups you do with your voice teacher so that you can use those at home!. Never sing without warming your voice up first!.

also, dance classes are a MUST if you wish to get into a musical theatre program!. If you haven't already taken dance, you should start with ballet and then branch out from there!.

Audition for your school's plays and musicals, and you should also audition for some community theatre plays/musicals if you have the time!.

All in all, 15 is a good age to start at!. I didn't start until I was 18, and I wish I had started earlier!. But 15 is perfect, as long as you give it your all without overworking yourself!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

No, it's never too late to take voice lessons!. Even adults take them!. It may mean you have a few more bad habits to break, but you'll be able to understand music better and have more experience!. =)

Good luck! ?Www@Enter-QA@Com
