What should I watch out for when recording a demo and working with new musicians!

Question: What should I watch out for when recording a demo and working with new musicians!?
I write, sing and play my own songs!. I have been looking for the right people to help me collaborate and record music!. I simply want to record a demo for now to make myself known and little by little start to play venues!.

I have been coming across some strange people who seem kind of shady!. I am new to this and don't want to be taken advantage of!. so what should I look out for!?

Answers:
you should put up a notice in your local music store looking for experienced session musicians to play on your demo!.

go for people who have experience recording and have played in many bands (your local studio may suggest some muso's for you)!.

avoid the shady types who will want to ride your coattails then take over the band!. pay for professionally trained session musicans, they will get the job done a lot better and more quickly than the unexperienced weirdo's you have found on the street!. and a professional session musician will have no interest of taking advantage of you!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

a lot of people have been getting discovered off myspace!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
