Question: Today's Lyrics!?
Is it me or does it seem like lyrics back then (even 90's) were alot more profound or just better than lyrics in todays music!? I think I find modern lyrics to be more 'straight forward' than interpreting!. What do you all think!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

My sentiments exactly!. The 90's had great bands with great thinking, imaginative, deep lyricists!. Alice in chains, Stone Temple Pilots, Built To Spill, Modest Mouse!. All of this and much more!. These bands had quality music and lyrics with a deep, profound meaning!. Why!? Because:
A!.) These bands were actually talented!.
B!.) They had something to SAY!
But now, 99% of the bands you hear on the radio, are no talent/ 1 hit wonder *******!. You listen to a random song that's played on the radio, chances are, they are going to be saying exactly what the song is about right off the bat!. And they're going to say it again, and again, and again!. This is because these people have no song writing ability!. A true lyricist hardly ever says what he's singing about right off the bat!. (or at all) Cause they want the overall message to be left to the listener to decipher on his/her own!. Cause they have SOMETHING TO SAY!. Do you think bands like Hinder or Daughtry have a profound message they want you to derive from the music they play!? No!. They don't have a message!. They have songs that were wrote based on one line or catchy riff!.
I could go on like this all day!. But the answer is: yes, bands nowadays suck and have terrible lyrics!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
