thats relly all u need but u dont need 2 hi hats u can just close it but i suggest buying another if u can

For a lot of people it's just window dressing, and I think in a lot of cases people who aren't good enough can slow their development by getting to wrapped up in the number of pieces they have (you should be able to make a 6 or 7 piece sound great before you start getting too complicated), but for those who are that good I imagine it can be very useful for versitility that more pieces can afford you!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

today ppl are simplifying and using less and not having songs be drum features as much as guitar features!. like more ppl i kno today use less than they used to in the good rock n roll days!. but diff size cymbals give diff noises and adds variety to a song!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

some of them are duechebags and are overcompensating, others do some interesting things and have them for a reason!. for instance, danny taylor of the silver apples had an extensive drum kit http://www!.bagatellen!.com/archives/silve!.!.!. and tuned his toms so that he could switch chords with the rest of the band!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
ok, for some people, it IS just to look cool!. but not always!. I only need a double bass, a snare, and a tom and floor tom!. i like having alot of different cymbals!. it gives so many different sounds!. i like playing stuff like Arsonists Get All The Girls and bands like that!. so u dont need many pieces rly!. lol!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

For the same reason other instruments can play more than 5 or 6 notes!. It gives them more versatility and offers the musician greater freedom in the music they play!. Mike Portnoy plays a huge kit and uses every bit of it!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
