Well, it's a tough call, but I feel that the Beatles would probably still have been a great band without George, Ringo, or Paul- I don't think you can say the same about John!. Without him, they probably wouldn't have evolved beyond the cutesy love songs that they were playing in the early sixties ("Love Me Do", "I Want to Hold Your Hand", etc!.) To me he was the driving force as far as getting the band to experiment with new sounds, to push itself and challenge itself!. (Not that the others didn't contribute some great songs in their own right, mind you!.)Www@Enter-QA@Com
It all depends on what you like really!. Lennon wrote songs that make you think and that said something about the world!.!.!. McCartney has an incredible gift for beautiful, gentle, love songs!.!.!.!. that is why together they were so damn good!. George Harrison was a complete artist in his own right!.!.!. where as Lennon and McCartney almost needed each other to be complete, George had his own sound and talents and really it did not shine until Revolver!.!.!. Rather than choose between the inarguable talents of John, Paul, and George!.!.!.!. I will go with Ringo!Www@Enter-QA@Com
