Rage is an amazing band!. I know what you're talking about though!. The thing with their songs is that they're almost all political!. For instance, "Killing in the Name" is about Ku Klux Clan members who murdered blacks!. However, since they were also white police officers they were never convicted!.
As for others bands that can be hard to understand, definitely System of A Down!. They have a lot of metaphors, and other techniques to their songwriting that makes the listener think about the meaning!. It's fun stuff though man!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

A whole lot, but Nirvana most of all!. They're one of my favorite bands, but wtf does "she's overboard, she's self assured, i know i know a dirty word, hello!.!.!." mean!?!?!?

Nah, meanings mean a lot to me in a band!. Only on a few occasions does that not matter as much!.!.!.like Nirvana!. But I think the point of Nirvana isn't to know!.!.!.just take it for what you want!. So in a way, I guess I understand what they're saying!.
Most bands just need the right kind of thinking before you find out (like Tool)!.

I love Therion, but all of their songs are about mythology and stuff!. It makes absolutely no sense to me!. Oh well, the music is awesome!.

I agree with the Rage thing!. I can't think of another one tht it happens to as much as Rage but some tht I don't understand sometimes are Placebo and at least one line in every Nirvana song!. No matter how kickass his lyrics are there is always one line tht just makes NO sense!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
