I'm some where in the middle!.
There are several tracks I like!.!.and several more iI WANT to like!. and a few that have zero appeal!.
I like Frantic, St Anger, Shoot Me Again and the Unnamed Feeling just fine!.
Then there are songs like Invisible Kid or Sum Kinda Monster that I WANT to like!.!.!. but the throwawy Punk style lyrics, breakdowns and general lack of tightness!.!.just leave them as unfinished!.!.almost good songs!.
then there are Songs like Sweet Amber or Dirty window that are just throwaway period!.!.much like Fixxer and Where teh Wild things are were for ReLoad!.
But!.!.even with my complaints (and Bob rocks continued hamhanded interference) it is not IMO a BAD album!. And!.!.I even don't mind the loose snare too much!.
Par tof the problem!.!.is that hte whole unproduced thing seems like a good idea!.!.but a whole album of an out of tune drum just gets monotonous!. And that is the biggest strike against the album!. If I mix it up with 4-5 other Metallica disks on random shuffle!.!.!.it's fine!.
but I simply can't sit throught the album in one sitting like I can on all the Black and earlier albums!.
also!.!.after seeing the documentary!.!.I appreciate the album more as an album they pretty much HAD to make!. Lots of bands have had that album!. Be it a concept!.!.or the need to work through their demons!.
And!.!. in the end!.!.I think this album is more about purging themselves of all the resenment, and other baggage they had acumulated in the past then it was about the commercial success!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I love St!. Anger!.
I've loved Metallica's music for all of its good times and bad times!. I don't think they've made a single bad track!. As artists, they are entitled to have a change of sound once in awhile!. Someone on here said in another question that their music was bound to change because you can't keep that anger you had when you were 25 and still have it when you're 45!. That's very true!. Metallica has grown as musicians, that's all!. They have not "sold out" or anything like that!.

It sounds like someone is banging a tin can for 4 minutes, its okay I can tolerate it but its not my favourite song of theirs!. The live content that came with the album was a good watch!. My mum bought the single in Asda for 1pence no lie!. They didnt play that song at download festival though, its as if that album didnt exist to the band!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I like the track, not so much the rest of the album!. I like the drumming style Lars adopts in the song!.

Not really it was more punk than metal!. It had to be my least favorite album!. I enjoyed the bass though!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
