Answers:
I think Oakland is what influenced him, that and prison!. He lived in Oakland before he was on Death Row!. I think his older stuff was great but around the time he did the "Thug Life" album, he was starting to change into what he was on Death Row!. When he did Thug Life he had been living in Oakland, the Bay Area for awhile!. But when he came out of prison he was on Death Row and he was probably alot more serious and angry when he got out of there and a whole lot of time to practice and think about what style he was going to use when he came out!. He was listening to Rakim long before he ever put out any album so thats definately not why his style changed and evolved the way it did!. Rakim didnt put out anything completely different during the time 2pac was putting out albums!. Rakim may have influenced 2pac to rap, but I dont think its what can be attributed to the style he progressed into as the albums were coming out!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

"I was into Rakim for dropping gems/ most rappers learned a lot from him!."

He had the Rakim influence for how he rapped, but he rapped about stuff like Public Enemy, KRS-One, and N!.W!.A!. would say!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
