I do believe in a literal Devil and that he works in the world but I really don't think that every dude in spandex with a flying "V" is an acolyte of Lucifer!.
The truth is that most bands are in it to make money, get chicks (or dudes!.!.for the lady rockers) and make music!.!.!.period!. Very few people who aren't making Christian music have any intended religious agenda with their music!.

This allows the basic cultural idea of "do what you want to do and it's all good" to continue!. I went down to this crossroads, just before midnight and I sat down and started to play a little tune, then this big black man came outta nowhere and asked if he could play my guitar!. Satan's too busy to listen to much of any music!. He does like to relax in a HOT lava bath to the tunes of 'Soul Asylum' and 'Abba's Greatest Hits (has them on his iPod, actually)!.!.!.

I'm not sure what it is!. I think a lot of it has to do with how things were in the 80's and stuff!. I was born in 1988!.!.!.so I have absolutely no idea!. But, I hear about it!.!.and I read about it!. And it just seems like there was such an emphasis on the devil by guys like Ozzy Osbourne!. And these people aren't aware of the evolution of rock and metal!.!.!.devil worship isn't the main focus of this kind of music today!. Most people that listen to, I'm mainly saying this because this is the way that me and my friends are, I can' speak for everyone else, but, we try not to bring our religions into music!. Well, I am a Christian and my parents are both Christians!. My dad lends me his old rock albums so I can put them on my iPod!. No one in my family believes rock is from the devil, and I think it's a very stupid generalization!.
