Definitely!. I can't listen to My Chemical Romance without thinking of my ex-best friend!. (Not that I liked them much anyway, but still!.) I know she wasn't my lover, but we were extremely close!. Extremely!. I don't think I was ever that close to another girl!.

I guess you think of all the good times you had when you listen to "their music" and you subconciously realize you will never have those good times, because you're no longer with that person!. That in itself makes you want to cry!. The music might also trigger emotions you no longer want to feel, which makes you angry or sad at them for what happened!.
