It was not announced but the pirate radio station, Radio London, broadcast that it was taking place just after they started recording!.
The result was that hundreds of people, including me, immediately set off for Saville Row!. This caused huge congestion around the area and by the time that I, and hundreds of others, got there, it was all over!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

My information is that Paul heard through Peter Asher that the Jefferson Airplane had done this type of thing in America about two weeks before!. He liked the idea and told the others!. So it happened sort of spontaneously!. The Beatles did not give advance notice to the police or public!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
