This isnt the best answer, but If you like a heavy tone and nice lyrics, check out Rammstein!. My favorites by them are Mein Teil, Du Hast, and I like their early albums (Sehnsucht - 1998) and Reise, Reise which I think is from 2003!? But they're metal like in a way and they're cool!. I'm not sure if they're for sure a german band but Goldfinger is a great band!.
