Question: What is a GOOD idea for a band name!? Something Hardcore!.!?
We want to start a band!. Possibly screamo, but more than likely rock or alternative
The lead singer is a girl!.
And so will a few other in the band, such as the guitarist!.
But the name can't be something like preppy!.

You shouldn't do something so hardcore it just sounds silly you know!? Nothing like twilight of death and demise!.!.!. that kind of stuff is overdone!. Something with a new twist; something people will remember (for marketing sake, nobody will remember a cliche band name)!.
My sister's in a really successful jazz band, and she said one of the tricks is always doing something (positive) that people will think about when their day dreaming a week later, you know!?

2!. Use a pop cultural reference!. A famous example is the band Veruca Salt, which took their name from the book Charlie and The Chocolate Factory!.
3!. Make up a name using the initials from the names of each band member!. That's how NSYNC and ABBA got their name!.
4!. Make a list of your favorite words and draw on that!.
5!. Pick a really cool word and misspell it!.
6!. Use a name that's an inside joke or has significance to you!. Use the name of a common or uncommon flower, such as Snap Dragon!. Run the name by friends before you adopt it!. A name that sounds cool to you might have a different connotations for someone else!.
7!. Look around the shops and see if you can spot any interesting food names such as 'black-eyed peas' or 'red hot chili peppers'!. Name it after a place you live close to, like Linkin Park or cypress hill (misspelling is optional)!. Have it be at least two words!. Each word could be a simple word but be inspired by two other bands, or a song/album/lyric of theirs, that you like!. Having your band name be at least two words will help it be unique and easily searchable on the Internet!.
