How to know wich chords are next in a song?!

Question: How to know wich chords are next in a song!?
I have been playing guitar for like 11 months already, but I want to know how musicians do it, because if somebody tells me to play a song using "G" chord, I dont know what chords go after G!. but if they give the song with the chords I can play it good!. my friend has been playing piano for like 5 years, and when tell him that I want to sing a song using G, A, Bm, E or any chord, he knows what chord goes after another one, how do they do that!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

That comes with time!. It is impossible to know what chord comes next in a song because and song can be written with any number of chords!. If I wrote a song that started in C, I could easily have the next chord be a Db minor (which wouldn't sound very good) and you would never what it was!. That being said, there are things you can figure out about songs that will help you!. Knowing the cycle or circle of 5ths will really help you out!. Google that and study the theory behind it!. A lot of blues and rock based songs will follow a simple progression that is standard to a 12 bar blues riff!. This means that if my song starts in C, my next chord is F and then G!. Or, if my song starts in G, my next chord is C then D!. A would be followed by D and then E!. E by A and B!. Seeing a pattern here!? Like I said before, it all comes with time!. You can feel a chord change coming more or less!. With all that experience under your belt, and knowing these things, you can play along with people very easily!.
Hope it helped!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
