What is your favourite era from Eric Clapton's career ?!
Question: What is your favourite era from Eric Clapton's career !?
For me it will always be Cream, both 60's and the superb reunion DVD from 2005!. Blind Faith is a close second, it's a classic DVD of their 1969 free concert!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Definitely Derek and the Dominos: Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Derek and the Dominoes' Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs is Clapton's magnum opus!. A double album with no tracks that I called call filler, even The Beatles didn't manage that!.
It's the point where he put together a set of song that fit together, not just some songs, but songs to complenent the others!. And, for once he managed to write good lyrics!. Plus, it's got Clapton and Duane Allman on it!. Two of the greatest guitarts to have ever lived on one LP!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Cream, without a doubt!. Some of his later covers of JJ Cale songs were good, too, but nothing had the force and energy of Cream!.
Clapton was with the Yardbirds so briefly and played so little guitar, it really does not count!. His LP with John Mayall's Bluesbreakers was fantastic, especially that great note-for-note cover of Otis Rush's "All Your Lovin'"!.
Blind Faith was a hit or miss LP, but I loved it in general!. They should have tossed "Do What You Like" in the garbage!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

His solo career, especially all his blues albums!.
If you're a Clapton fan you should read his autobiography that came out last year!. I just finished reading it and it is a fantastic book! There are some great stories about him performing with all those legendary artists over the years!.
A MUST read for any Clapton fan!Www@Enter-QA@Com
