Answers:
Today's country music is more like pop/rock!. I like the old stuff, going all the way back to Jimmie Rodgers!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Every song has to be judged by itself!. I like most of the songs that have been put out on country radio!. But granted some are better than others!. Classics like "He Stopped Loving Her Today" and "Fulsom Prison Blues" are a tuff act to follow!.!.!.!.but there are songs that come out these days that bring a powerful message and some awesome vocal presentations like "Moments" and "Almost Home"!. Growing up I listened to what my dad had on the radio!.!.!.(Conway Twitty,Alabama,Lorretta Lynn,John Conlee!.!.!.!.!.!.) and I love those songs as time went on I began to like rock( Bon Jovi,John Cougar,John Fogarty, ZZ Top,Van Halen!.!.!.!.!.!.) rock started to change and I couldn't get into Smashing Pumpkins and such so I swithched back to country!. And some of the acts followed me!. I think country today sounds a bit like the rock I listened to in the 80's and I like it!. The country station we listen to here in Wyoming plays a good mix of old and new and has " Legends of Country" on Saturdays!. it is a few hours solid of nothing but the old stuff!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I have always liked the older country music, as that was what my parents listened to while I was growing up!.

I know every artist you mentioned and have a library full of songs by them!. I'm using the collection to create a *mostly* classic country radio station online now!.

While I have often listened to and enjoyed some other types of music, I always come back to the older country 0 it feels like coming home!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Well, since I'm in my late 20s, I'm not an old foggie, but I still like the old stuff better than all this country pop they play today!. I guess it's because my parents always listened to that music while I was growing up!. I recently asked a question about an old love song to dance to on my wedding day!. Any suggestions!?

Yeah, I like the old stuff!. I'm only 42, but the 50's-70's country music is what my folks listened to, and the older I get, the more I like it!. In fact, I'd say that the "golden age" of country music as defined by me would span from about 1951-1975!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

i don't consider a lot of this stuff that passes country!. i even go back to the 40s and 50s from listening to my dads music!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

yes I agree!.!.the stuff now days sounds like pop,or rock not country!.!.!.yes,I too like the older stuff better and I am not an old foggie as you call it!.!.yes I am an older person than 20 but what is a number!?!?!? The older music is better!.!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

not an old person here (only 25) but i prefer those you mentioned (hank sr is my favorite singer ever), and i've seen george jones in concert!. (don't assume since we're younger we don't know good music!.!.!.)Www@Enter-QA@Com

I have answered several questions like this one, and i think i have the answer down to just one line !. "Who's gonna fill their shoes!. !. !. NO ONE TODAY!!!!!!"Www@Enter-QA@Com
