i was wondering, i can write poems, and i'd love to compose some songs, but i cant play any instrument!.!.!.so any tips on how exactly i shud go about it!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

You dont have to, but it sure is harder without it!. I would suggest a piano to be the best instrument for writing!. If you happen to have a keyboard at home just try stuff on that!. You wouldn't need to have lessons as long as you know the notes and understand music!. Perhaps look up online to see how to improve your music skills!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
yes if u are familiar with the instrument u will become well versed in the notes then if compose it there will not be any deviations in the ragha esp in Aroganam (UPS) Avaroganam(downs)!. since all the notes are of 7 swaras and entire raghas are consists of these 7 swaras only with little variations as to Daivatam, Gandharam like that your composing will be perfect only if you are good in string instrument!. best of luckWww@Enter-QA@Com
No, it is not necessary!. For example, Jim Morrison of The Doors couldn't play anything but he wrote many of the group's songs!. Janis Joplin wrote a number of her own songs but couldn't play anything either!. Same for Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin), and Steve Tyler (Aerosmith)!. Knowing how to play an instrument is helpful but not essential!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
