Question: What exactly is a "hip-hop activist"!?
Yesterday, on C-SPAN, I watched the Green Party's convention, culminating with the acceptance speech of its party's presidential and vice-presidential nominees, Cynthia McKinney and Rosa Clemente, respectively!.
What I saw and heard were a woman that I've long since believed to be clinically insane (McKinney), and a woman (Clemente) who ranted more about her love for hip-hop than what she could offer to America as an alternative to Obama, McCain, or even Bob Barr!.

I say "watered down" because much of her speech was omitted from the transcript, and after watching it, I felt the reasons were obvious!.
