yay two points XDWww@Enter-QA@Com

okay when you read a tab its like this!. 0 means just plucking the string without putting any fingers down
1 means on the very 1st fret close to where the tuners are you put your finger down and pluck the guitar where the sound comes out

heres the string names

e-highest pitch sound
B
G
D
A
E-lowest pitch sound

id consider listening to simple songs like kid songs to train your ear and also to simple stuff!. but overall id recommend taking one music class!.

I did and it set a good base for me to learn the notes and stuff!.

feel free to email me and ask for some good songs to start on with or on what are the notes and what are the sharps and suchWww@Enter-QA@Com

What i did when i began learning was learn the notes on the fretboard!. after i was able to take any note in first position (any note up to the 4th fret), i began to learn the basic chords!. I then began to learn bar chords and then music theory!.

However, what i suggest most is to get lessons!. It really is a lot easier than learning on your own!. I have tried both, so trust me when I say it is far more beneficial to have a guitar teacher watching over you to analyze your mistakes and to tell you what to learn next!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

yeah i actually cant read tabs idk why but if you buy guitar books most have the tabs and the melody which helps me like none other, or in guitar mags they have that kind of tab (that indicates the melody too)

try the forums at www!.ultimateguitar!.com its more guitar/music specific than here for more help

i would just keep practising and it will come to youWww@Enter-QA@Com

i would suggest taking at least a beginer class first!.the teacher can explain it in person making it easier to understand than someone typing it here!. or get a guitar book or instructional video(most libraries have them) they'll explain alot!. and the books will have some songs!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
