I actually think that MOST bands muck up their covers of Beatles songs!.!.!.
Well anyway, I personally think it's because each of those bands have destinct members that absolutely no one can copy the sound of!. There are two types of covers, covers that sound exactly the same and covers that put a much different twist on the song!. Covers that sound the same!.!.!. well, I would think it's impossible to put the same power, soul and emotion into a song the way Gilmour, Blackmore and Page could put in the song!. It's their own piece of artwork that cannot be imitated!. As for covers that sound different, well, for Floyd at least, there are already so many different ways to see the original song already, how do you put an additional twist into it!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Led Zeppelin: This group contains three incredibly talented musicians - it can be hard to perfectly re-create the abilities of John Bonham, John Paul Jones, and Jimmy Page!. Let alone finding a suitable singer for Plant!.!.!.!.!.I mean, the basic structures can be easy, but nailing the true sound is tough!.
Pink Floyd: A lot of their songs create an atmosphere which is tough to pull off!.!.!.especially when there's many devoted fans out there expecting the songs to sound just so!.!. People are mostly familiar with their studio stuff!.!.!.and the Floyd's mega-popular studio stuff is flawlessly produced!.
Basically with these two bands, if you're going to cover them, you better do a damned good job!.

If you're talking specifically about vocals, which I think you are, you need to practice your range in a higher register!. It takes a lot of power to sing at a higher pitch and will prove if you can really sing or not!. Robert Plant and Ozzie Osbourne are extremely talented guys so don't feel bad if you feel like you don't measure up!. Maybe have a couple of lessons to find the extra power to reach those notes!. I suspect because they are complex musicians!. I think some Beatle tracks would come into that category too, but Abba and The Bee Gees are more accessible!. I'll have to ask my son this one, he's a musician!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
