Answers:
Syd was lost while he was still alive; that was the saddest loss of all, in my opinion!. Jimi contributed more to rock n' roll in his short life than Syd did, however, so his loss probably had more of a profound effect on music!. By the way: I'm sure when Jimi died there were weeks and weeks of mourning that went on, on the air and off the air- at least as much as when Syd died, but probably more!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

You mean Syd Barrett!?

If you mean Syd Barrett!.!.!. well, I think Jimi was more of a loss cause he was still very young and had so much in him and could have had a long carreer, but Syd hadn't produced music since the early 70's and have been out of the music scene for a while!. I wouldn't know how much mourning Jimi recieved since I was born much later after his death, but I'm sure he recieved lots of mourning!.

Of the two, I love Barrett more, but he hasn't made music in years, so his passing didn't mark the end of a great musical era!.!.!. even in his later life he was just a shadow of his once greatness at his early age!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

hendrix was much more of a loss, he revolutionized the way the guitar was played by everyone around the world, he extended all of the boundaries!.!.!.barrett was important for starting pink floyd, but the band gained the majority of its success after syd leftWww@Enter-QA@Com

Hendrix!. Barrett is definitely awesome, but Hendrix was just amazing!. One of the biggest influences in Rock 'N Roll!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I'd Choose Hendrix!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.thanks by answering my question eariler!. ;)

But to be honest while we been on the subject of losses to music, i get the most upset over Brian Jones from the rolling stones!. He's so over looked
