Question: Where do these Rap blokes come up with their names!?
Just finished reading the Sunday paper!. I find out some guys called Flo Rida is coming to Australia, with his mates, Ka$ual and T-Pain!.
So it got me thinking, as well as this lot, there's also Snoop Doggy Dogg, Coolio, Bow Wow, Dr Dre, Queen Latifah etc!. You get the picture!.
I can understand Missy Elliot, Missy being short for Melissa!. Missy Higgins does the same thing!.
Don't these guys like their real names, whatever they may be!? Let me guess, Mr Ka$ual is really Craig Jones or John Smith, something of that nature!.
Did they take their influence from early English punk bands!? Names like Johnny Rotten, Sid Vicious, Joe Strummer etc!.

The rap names just sound cooler!. I mean the name "Lupe Fiasco" is pretty dope, but his real name (Wasalu Jaco Muhhamad) is long and not a cool rap name!.

alot of times its nicknames or sumn like that, flo rida is from florida, t-pain, i dont know, queen latifah, latifah is her nickname an she was one of the only girls in hiphop/rap so she put queen to signify she was the best, most times its nicknamesWww@Enter-QA@Com
