Will I ever be able to hit those tenor notes?!

Question: Will I ever be able to hit those tenor notes!?
I don't know what voice type I am!. My chest range extends from F2 to F4, and If I strain I can hit the next G!. My head voice then goes up to C6!. I haven't had any training and don't do any excercises at this point!. With the appropriate excercises and technique, is it possible for me to reach past that G!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Not with help from the internet!.

You, my friend, need a good voice instructor!.

Even a good low bass can nail the g, and a well trained baritone can sing high c's if the voice is lyric enough (although neither of these categories would include these notes in their repertoire)!.

If you are a tenor, once trained properly, you will have high notes to burn!.

There are many ways to train the human voice (some better than others), and your teacher will pick one for you based on his own leanings (and hopefully your talent) and away you go!.

If you want to play around, try yawning and then sing a triad scale on "awe" up to an F#, and it might help you get a feeling for mixing your lower and upper registers!.

I could give you other tips, but as I wrote before, you cannot learn to sing on the internet!.

Good luck!Www@Enter-QA@Com

definitely!.
i dont have any training either; last year i couldnt go past E4 in my chest voice!. Then, i spent a solid week learning how to support the notes with my diaphragm, which then permanently allowed me to extend my chest voice to D#5!.

It's very liberating once you get the hang of it!.

The "exercise" I used is to tense the muscles at the bottom of your abdomen, so you make your stomach look bloated, but keep your back straight!. This should all be done whilst you are holding air that you have inhaled in!. 99!.9% of people say to keep your shoulders still whilst inhaling, but i find this never works for me!!.

Once you have tensed the muscles, what you are effectively doing is making your diaphraghm act as a solid foundation, and you should physically feel "bottom heavy"!. Then, do a yawn, and keep the muslces in your mouth/throat in mid yawn!. With practice, you SHOULD be finding that you can reach higher notes, and even hit the ones at the at the top end of your former range (E4-F4), with more power!.

You MIGHT even achieve good vibrato with time and effort!Www@Enter-QA@Com
