To any electronics nut,,,,?!

Question: To any electronics nut,,,,!?
My 25 year old Peavey T-20 Bass Guitar has some old scratchy pots that need replacing!.

Will changing the volume and tone pots change the sound of my vintage bass!?

This Bass has that powerful
SUPER FERRITE single coil pickup!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
Yes, changing the pots will definitely affect the sound of your bass, especially if it's vintage!. This may not be a bad thing!.!.!.!. and if you match the values of the pots as closely as possible, you shouldn't notice a dramatic shift in tonal character!.

I forget what OEM actually stands for, but it means something about original manufacturing specs!. In other words, an OEM part is going to match either perfectly or dang close!.

OEM would be ideal!.!.!. but if it isn't worth serious money, ie a collector's item, I would just go with the closest I could find!. If I was unhappy with it I know how to switch a pot out, so!.!.!.!.

I would personally look around on the net for some OEM parts!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
