just takes practice!.!.!.make sure you are using proper technique or else your hand is going to hurt a lot easier and quicker!. Just practice doing bar chords up and down the neck!.!.!.you'll get it eventually!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

As already said, keep at it!. Don't get roped into just learning to cover the bottom 4 strings!. Remember if you nail the F chord, you've nailed every possible chord by just moving fret position!. And by simply removing some fingers, you can nail pretty much every possible chord!. Nearly all White Stripes songs for example are just that chord in new fret board positions, sorry I'm slightly drunk so am very excited about your new chord development! Good luck and godspeed you black emporor!!!Www@Enter-QA@Com

I recommend doing hand stretches across the board!.

This should help strengthen the index finger!.

also, keep your hand as close to the bottom of the neck to have more space!. ( Your thumb should be on the edge of the back of the neck, providing ample room for your fingers to move!.)

It won't be easy, but you'll get it eventually!.

For transitioning, I recommend starting with Am to C, or G to E (major or minor)!.
A and D are also good starters!. Good luck!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
