You've probably heard of most of those bands, but I just went through my iTunes library and picked out some names!. It sounds like your taste in music is as diverse as mine!. Hope this helps!Www@Enter-QA@Com

Here is some stuff that I love to listen to, and highly recommend to those who haven't experienced it yet!. I'll break it up roughly by genre, starting with the heavy stuff and getting progressively lighter:

METAL:
Zeni Geva - Japanese metal band, absolutely awesome, complex, intense metal!. They were around during the nineties and early oughties, don't know if they're still going!. They have an album called "Freedom Bondage", with twisted barbed wire on the cover!. That's the best one to get!.

HEAVY/PROGRESSIVE ROCK:
King Crimson - they've been around since the late 60s, and had various line-ups, but always with guitar legend and pioneer Robert Fripp at the helm!. An absolute treat for any music lovers that haven't explored them yet!. Best albums are "Red" (1974), and "Discipline" (1981)!. Their most recent releases are also fantastic!. They keep bringing out exciting, innovative music, contrary to the usual pattern with old rock bands!.

BANDS THAT ARE LARGELY INSTRUMENTAL IN NATURE:
Tortoise: They're probably about 15 years old now, still around!. Absolutely beautiful stuff, a 5-piece lineup involving drums, guitars, bass, as well as Xylophones, marimbas, synths, sound effects, unexpected things!. Its often electronic in nature, but has a very natural, pastoral feel about it!. Great car music for long trips!. I kinda like all of their albums equally, but one definitely worth seeking out is called "Millions Now Living Will Never Die"!.

Trans-Am: Another band that's still active, sometimes Trans-Am is a bit like Tortoise, but only a bit!. For the most part they are an electronic-rock hybrid 3-piece, that also creates very original and outstanding music!. I would recommend "Futureworld" for a first listen, but all their albums are great, except perhaps "TA", which is a bit of a joke 80's retro album that doesn't fit in so well with their other work!.

ELECTRONIC POP/ALMOST POP:
Cornelius - artist from Japan, I love his work, The album "Point" was something I found inspirational, and I still think its the best thing I've heard since the turn of the century!.

So many others I could mention, so I'll just end by throwing some more names out there - Squarepusher, Ween, Bloc Party, Coldcut, DJ Shadow, Kyuss, Muse, Mr!. Bungle, Phish, Porcupine Tree, and to end the list, the awesome sound-artists/culture-jammers Negativland!.

P!.S: If you like metal, you've gotta have a look at a cartoon series called "Metalocalypse"!. I won't say anything more about it, just do yourself a favour and chase it up!Www@Enter-QA@Com

thats awesome to like everything im the saem way and i love heavy metal mostly, hmm how bout some megadeath,as i lay dyng, pearl jam, motley crue, trivium, children of bodom, hedley that kida stuff is good!. also just throwing this out there, have you ever listened to ska music!? well its kinda neat haha anywho hope you have good luck looking for some new tunes!Www@Enter-QA@Com
