What are your thoughts on Tupac & Hip Hop in general?!

Question: What are your thoughts on Tupac & Hip Hop in general!?
Man, last night at a cookout, we were wildin yo!. Topics ranged from Hancock to Camron's vocabulary!. It wasnt long till we got on the whole Hip Hop Is Dead movement and one thing my homeboy said that made so much sense and made Nas look like an idiot is "Hip Hop Was Never Alive"!. Genius!! I thought!. We are asking ourselves about something that doesnt even breathe lmao!. Interesting lol!.

Another topic brought up was Tupac & Biggie!. Now I have been said that Big L was praised cause of his death but can that be said about Biggie and Pac too!? The phrase "longevity" in hip hop is a bunch of crap bcause it doesnt apply to Notorious B!.I!.G!. since he was killed & Lil Wayne isnt that much different from Tupac (not being that good of a lyricist but having loads of work made with millions of fans behind them)!. It was a very interesting conversation!. I didnt want anything to eat!? so I had a Shasta (official drink of black cookouts)!.

So, what are your thoughts!? Did you have a great weekend!? lolWww@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
i guess yall made kanye west & lil wayne look like idiots since its their main goal now to prove "hip hop is alive"!.!.

umm!.!.dont really kno what to say about the longevity thing!. Big didnt have the longevity but the 2 albums he made are better than most people's 5-8 album long catalogs!.!.and uh, Wayne & Pac are very different

"Big L would crush any of your so-called rappers from today without question"

yea right!.!.there's more to rap than puttin senseless bullshyt into as many bars as possibleWww@Enter-QA@Com

Tupac didnt have the BEST lyrics ever but at least he had thought in his songs unlike lil wayne Pac was socially aware about many things and put that into his songs lil wayne doesnt do that beside in georgia bush and yeah my weekend was good

and wayne is LIGHT YEARS away from Pac lyrically or in any other wayWww@Enter-QA@Com

so if the question is what do i think about tupac, then!.!.!.

i'lll admit i was hatin on him but thats cuz of all the stannery!. once u get past that, he has mad hits and that means more than anything!. he's not top 10 for me, but he has good songs and thats all that matters!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

u dont have to be a great lyricist to impact, influence people which Pac did= pac>Bigie
lyrically=Big>PacWww@Enter-QA@Com

tupac the best lil wayne sucks!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.
My weekend was good me and my friends smoked some weed mixed with opium and got bent while lighting off some fireworksWww@Enter-QA@Com

No my weekend sucked i spent the whole time in my room by my self (thankz 4 askin really)!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.

Hip Hop is Not Dead*********Www@Enter-QA@Com

Tupac is more alive than hip hop right now!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Hancock was a better movie than I thought it was gonna be!.

As to everything else!.!.!.I don't even know what to say lolWww@Enter-QA@Com

im not a big pac fan!. i think hes highly over rated as a artist and i think his fans didnt pick up what jewels he did drop!. its almost like he had to put on that thug image to be taken serious and he played that role so well that the world believed him!. his music was best when he wasnt thuggin' all over the place!.

hiphop is in a rut of mundane, mediocre, repetitiveness thats gonna see it become a urban version of elevator music!. its gonna get to the point when people are gonna get sick of having to find the good sh!t and the artist are gonna get sick of having to be sought out!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I like the older stuff!.!.Tupac had a way of pulling in his audience because a lot of people could relate to him!. In my opinion most hip-hop today seems more bubble gum than anything!. It's not that it's really bad, it's just that it's not nearly as good as it used to be!. It's like one group made a dance song then everyone had to make one!. I dunno lol

My weekend!.!.!.!.not to much happened!. I went to the drive-in movies and watched Kung-Fu Panda, The Hulk, and Don't Mess With The Zohan!. Not bad for just $7!.50!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I watched Hancock last night and I loved it!. Kind of so bad it was good!.

I think Biggie's impact on hip hop was because of his unbelievable skills as a lyricist and also the fact that he let his insecurities show in his music a lot, which can be rare in hip hop!. It's sad the world never got a chance to hear more from him, but his impact is totally justified, because even though he only made 2 albums, those 2 albums were incredible!.

Tupac, I've never really got it to be honest!. I'm not a big fan!. I can sort of see where the Wayne comparision comes from in terms of lyrical ability, but I wouldn't really compare them!. Tupac's music and the things he stood for had a huge impact on people's lives and his music seemed to touch a lot of people's hearts - I don't really think the same can be said for Lil Wayne!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

You didn't have any grape drink!? (Chappelle reference for those who didn't know) Anyway I think 2pac is a bit overrated who gained a bigger legend because he was killed!. Same with biggie he was a great rapper but him getting killed made him more of a legend!. And Pac had good ideas with his songs (Changes, Dear Mama) but I think that his lyricscould have been better!. And btw wouldn't you consider Changes a more of a popish song!?

edit: If you listen to the way it goes and the hook it sounds kind poppy and I hear that song on radio stations like B 101 all the time!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

You and your friends need to learn more about hip hop!. Hip hop started before 2000 and that's where the three mc fore mentioned did their best work!. The comparison between Wayne and Pac are way off base!. It's not that Pac was a great lyricist but his music touched many because of the emotions he put in his music!. Big L would crush any of your so-called rappers from today without question including the Liberace of hip hop Kanye West!. Big's influence is apparent because the dude could rhyme his butt off which can't be said for Wayne, Kanye or whoever you fools think is sooo great on the mic!. I bet you and your friends thought you were saying something didn't you!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
