What is so special about the Beatles?!
Question: What is so special about the Beatles!?
I listened to some of their songs, and I really don't see what is so "wow" about them!.!.!.
Maybe I'm listening tot he wrong songs!? Please help, I'm sure they are great, and that is why I am asking this question, so I can start appreciating such a great band!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

With how music (and people) are now, it's harder for anybody to understand and appreciate that kind of older music!. It's not just something you can sit down and listen to, doing other things, and expect it to blow you away!. Beatles music is something that you should devote much, if not all, of your attention to the first few times you listen to it!. They didn't just try to make cool noises (though they did), they were also part of the era that made so many political songs, anti-war songs, and, (my favourite), drug-induced songs!.
Here are some things for you to try:
Play 'Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds', and just listen to that!. Don't do anything else, just lay there, close your eyes, and let it paint a picture!.
also, the whole "Sergeant Pepper" album was based off the idea that they would take on a sort of different persona: To escape being the Beatles, the Fab Four!.
And John Lennon was often plagued by bouts of depression, and dabbled heavily into drugs later into the Beatles' career: The former giving songs such as 'Help!', the latter hits like 'Strawberry Fields Forever' and 'I Am The Walrus'
So next time you listen to them, try giving it your full attention!. Listen to the lyrics, find little subtleties in the music!. You may not find them to be the greatest band ever, but hopefully you'll appreciate them, and get to like them more!.

The Beatles didn't change with the times, the times changed with the Beatles!. They were more than just genius music they were a lifestyle that really opened the door to a lot of music and modern music wouldn't be what it is today without them!. also whereas most bands have two or three memorable songs on an album the Beatles had eight or nine an album!. Everysong was virtually perfect (from a musical standpoint at least)!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
They started the rock-n-roll age, it could of been any band that caused it to start, they were just the ones who lucked out and created a new cultural style of music, as time went on, their style changed, as did the hippie era did during the 60's!. You just have to listen to the whole range of their music before you start to understand them!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
its all about the time period that the beatles were in, of course now, their music seems a bit "cheesy" or what not, but during the 60's and early 70's their music offered GREAT hope, and entertainment!. the messages in many of their songs, spoke of what was really happening in the world, and the hearts of the people in the world, at the time!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
personally i love the beatles!.
everyone is different, i understand that!. no one said you HAVE to like them, just a lot of people do because of their hit songs and the melodies and what not!.
give them a chance, listen to the a few times!. there are some really great songs by the beatles!. and there are some that i could pass on but all around they're an awesome band!. you should look into their story and see how they got so famous!. i have the anthology dvds and they worked really hard for the position they made it to!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

well personally they are my favorite band!.!.!. but still, you have to be into the classics!.
The thing about the Beatles is they have so many different styles of music in their own, that you can like the Beatles and still like different genres of music!.!.!. i like Helter Skelter, i think it's their most rock song!.!.!. In My Life i think is a beautiful song too!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

i think they've just become such legends!.!.!. Lennon went solo, Ringo did the voice of thomas the tank engine, McCartney is just really famous, and Harrison nobody knows of

First, start by listening to entire albums, not just certain songs!. The songs are meant to be played together, in order!.

They are the number one band for a reason, first they where one of the founders of rock as we see it today, so many bands where influenced its crazy!. Listen to the lyrics them the beat see where it takes you this is how new music beginsWww@Enter-QA@Com
Yeah I agree!. I know many people love them, but I don't see anything that great!. Their voices aren't anything special!. Their only song I like is Come Together, but I like Aerosmith's version betterWww@Enter-QA@Com

Its not the actual music that is special anymore!.!.Its when they started it was a new type of music!. People had never heard something like it before!.!.!.So they are basically popular for that reason :-)Www@Enter-QA@Com
