Question: Okay, whats with the whole "emo" thing!?
Emo means emotional, right!? Well, human emotion has been the driving force of all art since the beginning of the beginning, so why are people thinking that adding emotion to music is something new!? Doesn't make sense to me!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

yes, I agree with you as I am an artist in many ways!. (drawing, writing, guitar playing) But when these teens refer to something as "EMO" it usually has more emotion, and it is usually negative emotion!. Like!.!. have you heard of the band Hawthorne Heights!? Well, they scream in certain parts of their songs and the lyrics to "Ohio is For Lovers" go like this !.!. "So cut my wrist and bite my arms!.!.!" A teenager may refer to this as emo because it is negative and violent emotion!.
also, "emo" is used in which the way people dress and behave!. If a person is dressed in all black most teens would call them "emo," rather than gothic!.
The behavior of an "emo" child maybe be the habit of cutting themselves, usually on the wrist!. Obviously the child has problems handling emotions and resorts to cutting, thus he is emotional also known as "emo"!.

Well, technically, yes, it's short for emotional!. But now it's evolved into something else!. I'm not judging, but people seem to think "emos" are overly emotional and overly dramatic!. They are labelled as people who like to inflict physical pain on themselves for pleasure!.
Emo music is not bad in my opinion, some songs are quite pleasant, a bit too soft for my liking, but not as terrible as people make them out to be!. I can understand why hardcore metal-heads don't like them, but it's all the implications that people don't like, in my opinion!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

emo in my town is a way to describe the counter culture kids as in the guys with the skinny jeans and eye liner who always complain about the man and main stream music!. To me the term just seems like a way for these guys to say the are non-conformist because they aren't an average group and same with the artists!. They try to seperate themselves by saying they are different!. I really don't see much different in quote "emo" music then a bunch of bands that don't claim to be emo!.

I have no problem with people expressing originality!.!.!.But I think their whole suicidal "my life sucks I hate everyone" additude is just unacceptable!. If you think about poor people in various African countires (I lived/grew up partly/born in South Africa, visit country yearly) that have nothing but, what, in many cases nothing but a few old cardboard boxes to shelter their heads, you just think "those 'emo' people don't know how lucky they are to have a home and shelter!! (most likely)"

emo is dead!emotional hardcore "emo music" was mid 90s!.bands like texas is the reason!.braid,grade,sunny day real estate,the promise ring etc!. basically it was the wimps in the hardcore scene that were always crying!.
