What is a Baritone Guitar?!

Question: What is a Baritone Guitar!?
Answers:
The baritone guitar is a variation on the standard guitar, with a longer scale length that allows it to be tuned to a lower range!. The Danelectro Company was the first to introduce the baritone guitar in the late 1950s!. Shortly after, Fender released the Bass VI which is essentially a baritone guitar, despite being called a bass!. The baritone guitar was not originally popular with players or listeners!. However, the instrument began to appear in surf music, as well as background music for many movie soundtracks, especially spaghetti westerns!. It also has the capacity to be used as a bass guitar if strung correctly!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

As the poster above stated!. ;)

The strings are different than a regular guitar!.
In addition, a true 'baritone' guitar is often tuned B to B, but many drop a full octave E to E!. The low E is a bit loose on some models (I own a Dan Electro Longhorn that I love - and lord I miss my Fender Bass VI!!) when tuned E to E, but the other 5 sound great!. It basically becomes a 6 string bass at that point!.

It is incredibly beautiful for melancholy noodling/arpeggios (The Cure's Disintegration album is why I bought the guitars in the first place)!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
