The Dixie Chicks being booted out of country music is a great loss for the industry as well as a loss women who wanted to go into county!. They played their own instruments and were highly successful too!. Country music magazines & radio failed to really support the Chicks and their being booted out of country is a dark era for this form of music!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

i don't know much about country music!.!.!.I'm not knockin' it but I just never got too into country music!. However, I do like the Dixie Chicks!. I have a few of their cds!. I especially liked Home and Travelin' Soldier never fails to make my cry like a little girl!.!.!.I guess if they did anything for country music it was that they brought it to the masses!.!.!.people who don't normally like country would listen to the chicks!. it is a sad thing and I have always thought it was unfair the way they're treated for their beliefs and ideals!.!.!.!.the fact is, I don't look to musicians or actors or celebrities in general for my political or spiritual guidance!. I look to them to bring me good entertainment!. So why do I or anyone else care what they say about President Bush (incidently, with such a low approval rating!.!.!.it seems the chicks aren't the only ones who don't like him)Www@Enter-QA@Com
I am a major Dixie Chicks fan! I love all their albums and own them all! Since when did country music get to be about the politics!!? The chicks were panned and criticized for doing something that had nothing to do with their music! Everyone is entitled to their opinion!. We all express our opinions everyday!. Case and point, yahoo answers! But because they are public figures they were thrown to the wolves!. There is a time and place for all things, perhaps this wasn't the right time or place to make the comments!. Good for them for caring enough to have an opinion!. They make great music and i will always be a fan, regardless of their personal opinions!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I liked their music!. I feel everyone is entitled to an opinion, but you don't go to a foreign country and say you are embarrassed to be from TX because George Bush is from there!. That is so messed up!!
