Does good depressing music require more talent than happy/normal music?!
Question: Does good depressing music require more talent than happy/normal music!?
Answers:
in my opinion depressing music is harder, because you have to reach the listener through lyrical interpretation most of the time!. so you have to be poetic, instrumental wise not so much!. but happy mainstream music doesnt require much talent at all!. just a good voice and crappy lyrics!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
No dont think so!.!.even a happy person can relate to pain in a song, and still maintain that happy mood, versus someone who is depressed its much harder to be moved by a happy song,so if that happy song can get you out the rut, I would say that takes more talent!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
In my opinion, it requires a better understanding of how music works - ie!. using minor chords, progressive descending chord structures and the use of tempo and velocity!.
More talent!? mmm not sure!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

No!. It is relatively easy to sit at home and write about how miserable you are feeling!. Good happy music takes real talent!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
It depends on the artist!. If he's really sad, it will come through in his music!. Kurt Cobain wrote some really tragic stuff, but I bet it was easy, because that's who he was!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
