Whats betta? guitar shoppin?!

Question: Whats betta!? guitar shoppin!?
a strat guitar or tel!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
If one were universally "better" why would Fender market them both and for pretty much the same price!?

A Telecaster, lacking a tremelo, is probably a better instrument for learning as a floating bridge can be hell on your tuning and action, but that doesn't mean the Stratocaster is a poor instrument (hundreds of professionals can't be wrong), and your teacher probably meant that!.

As to Squier, they're good as long as you stay away from their very cheapest models!.
The person stating you shouldn't buy Squier because they're made in Mexico got that wrong as well!.
Many Fenders are made in Mexico, Squier's main production facilities are in Korea and (for those cheap kit-guitars) China, with only their most exclusive models being made in Mexico, on the very same production lines and by the very same people as many Fender models!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Depends on the sound you want!. I like the sound of teles with a humbucker near the bridge, better/fatter tone, better sustain!.
My first guitar was a strat - it was fine, but there are better options IMHO!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

the sound is slightly different!. I prefer the tele, mostly for rhythm, and a strat for lead!.
but there's les pauls and SG's, too!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Don't buy either, especially if you're getting Squire instead of Fender!. They're being cheaply made in Korea!.!.!.
Buy a Dean, BC Rich, Ibanez, or an ESP/LTD!!!!Www@Enter-QA@Com
